World’s first USB-sized personal hardware firewall

Earlier this month Yoggie Security System (Yes, I work there :-) ) launched the Firestick Pico.
Firestick Pico is very exciting since it’s the word’s first, and so far only, USB-sized personal hardware firewall!

This is an extremely exciting product. Personally I think the concept itself is a revolution in the security market.

Think about it: Although it looks exactly like a simple USB drive, it’s actually a full fledged miniature computer (CPU, RAM and all) that runs Linux and has a full corporate-grade stateful inspection firewall running inside!
No software installation, only the tiny USB driver and that’s it – You enjoy a hardware firewall wherever you go.
There’s really absolutely nothing quite like that in existence today.

And the price is right too, right now the list price is $109 and can already be purchased from the Yoggie online store, but once it hits the shelves, street price will probably be substantially lower.

Actually, Firestick Pico is the “little brother” of the Gatekeeper Pico, and if you think the Firestick Pico is cool, check this out:
The Gatekeeper Pico is the same concept of the Firestick Pico – An actual Linux-based miniature USB-sized computer running security INSIDE. But where Firestick does only firewall, the Gatekeeper Pico actually has a full and complete security suite inside!

Again, none of the security software is installed onto your Windows machine – Running inside the Gatekeeper Pico is the firewall, anti-virus (By Kaspersky!), anti-spam, IDS/IPS (By Snort!), Web Filtering and much more.
So you get a full security suite, running outside your machine – So you can still enjoy your Windows applications AND enjoy Linux-based security.
PLUS – Now you can uninstall the huge monstrous resource-hungry software security suite that you hate so much today!
